Solutions: For finding number of zeroses of polynomials from graph, we need to check that how many times the graph cuts the x-axis, that will be the number of zeroses of that polynomial
(i) in this part the graph of the polynomial do not cut x-axis , so it has no Zero.
(ii) here graph cut x-axis 1 time so it has only 1 zero.
(iii) similarly here 3 zeroes
(iv) 2 zeroes
(v) 4 zeroes
(vi) 3 zeroes
Important tips regarding polynomials
1. General form of a quadratic polynomial in x is ax²+bx +c , where a,b,c are real numbers and a is not zero.
2. Polynomials of degree 1 , 2, 3 and 4 are called linear polynomials, quadratic polynomials, cubic polynomials and biquadratic or quartic polynomials respectively.
3. A quadratic polynomial can have at most 2 zeroes and a cubic polynomial can have at most 3 zeros and so on.
4. The zeros of a polynomial are the x- coordinates of the points where the graph of polynomial intersects the x-axis.
5. In a quadratic polynomial ax²+bx +c
Sum of zeross = -b/a
Product of zeroes = c/a
